- Drill Down:

All the way from General ledger to Order Entry, you can use the drilldown button to open a source transaction. For example, you can drilldown from General Ledger transactions to original transaction entries, from Accounts Receivable to Order Entry, from Accounts Payable to Purchase Orders, and so on. Example:
- In the General Ledger account history screen, double click the balance to open up the transactions, then double click the transaction to open a batch, then click the drilldown symbol (above) to open the subledger document. If the transaction was sourced from a secondary ledger such as Purchase Orders, click the drill down icon again and this will open that up too !

- How to Automate the Day End to run over night
- Although the day end function in correctly specified environments doesn't take long, sometimes (particuarly in sites with over 30 users) it might be more prudent to have the day end process scheduled to run over night. By installing the scheduling module this can easily be achieved. This also has the facility to email on success or failure. The same program can also be used to run weekly or monthly integrity checks. By using this module and turning on the auto posting feature (available in Version 5.4 onwards) time spent posting batches and running reports is greatly diminished.
- By installing the Alerts module, your system can be configure to automatically email mission critical trigger point alerts. Examples would include items low in stock, debtors late paying, orders placed over $50,000, cheques processed over $10,000, sales orders unshipped greater than 14 days.
